Educational Qualification:

• Syrang of Lascars: (i) 10th Passed (ii) Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958. (ii) Two years experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel of twenty horse power.
• Lascar: (i) 10th Passed (ii) Knowledge of Swimming (ii) One year experience on a registered vessel.
• Fireman (Boat Crew): (i) 10th Passed (ii) Knowledge of Swimming (iii) Certificate of having completed pre-sea training course.
• Topass: (i) 10th Passed (ii) Knowledge of Swimming

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01 April 2025 [SC/ST: 05 Years Relaxation, OBC: 03 Years Relaxation]
