Educational Qualification:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. (Civil Engineering).
- Track Maintainer: 10th Standard Pass.
- Senior Section Engineer (S&T): Engineering Degree (Electrical/Electronics/IT/Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering) or M.Sc. (Electronics).
- ESTM-III: 10th Standard Pass + NCVT/SCVT (Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Wireman) or 12th Standard Pass (Physics and Mathematics).
- Section Controller: Degree in any discipline.
- Station Master: Degree in any discipline.
- Goods Train Manager: Degree in any discipline.
- Assistant Loco Pilot: 10th Standard Pass + NCVT/SCVT (Armature & Coil Winder/Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Fitter/Heat Engine/Instrument Mechanic/Machinist/Mechanic Diesel/Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)/Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic/Tractor Mechanic/Turner/Wireman) or 10th Standard Pass + Relevant Apprenticeship or 10th Standard Pass + Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering.
